The Port-to-Port case is heating up on NCIS is the next episode, "Swan Song." Will one of the returns in this episode hold the answer for that blue eye found in Tony's drink that opened MTAC?
NCIS Episode 23 "Swan Song" Preview
"After new evidence reveals that the Port-to-Port killer has infiltrated the agency, the NCIS teams chase every lead in a race to track him down."
EJ (Sarah Jane Morris) and her team, Cade (Matthew Willig) and Levin (Alimi Ballard), are back in this episode after a trip to Hawaii in "Baltimore" just in time for Gibbs' team to be the one to take the "copycat" case and give Tony a chance to flash back to when he first joined the agency. This episode will also feature the returns of Mike Franks (Muse Watson) and Trent Kort (David Dayan Fisher), and one of them isn't coming back in the same condition fans last saw him.
When the P2P case first began, Tony received a drink at a bar with a blue eyeball in it ("Two-Faced"). In the next episode, "Dead Reflection," Ducky told them that the eye belonged to a male in his 30s, and they discovered that it opened up MTAC. Spoilers since then have revealed that it's someone fans know and the person may not necessarily be dead. Last night's "Baltimore" also revealed that the person comes up as "classified" in the NCIS server. Well, after the promo (below) for "Swan Song," it doesn't look like fans have to wonder any longer whose eye that was.
The promo opens up with Kort telling the NCIS agents about Navy Lieutenant Jonas Cobb (Kerr Smith) after the words "they know who the killer is" flash on screen. Cobb was the prototype in a program of CIA assassins. Is he the killer or is the promo tricking fans? When he was first cast, everyone thought he was coming in to help find P2P. Was that just to fool viewers? Oh, and by the way, the blue-eyed Kort has an eye patch over his left eye. (Poor Kort, but he was always at the top of the list, especially once it was revealed that the person may still be alive and since it's been known for awhile he was returning.) McGee says that P2P was there. It turns out, he's been there, "studying" them. And if you want to make a guy seem creepy, having him standing in the middle of a storm is just the way to do it. There are two deaths coming up on NCIS, and in this episode, "he will strike at the heart of NCIS." In the pouring rain, someone is attacked. The promo ends with Gibbs standing behind the NCIS medical van and closing the doors.
The "heart of NCIS" suggests it could be Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) to be one of the deaths. That wouldn't be too surprising, and it would certainly be a big move for P2P to take out the Director of the federal agency.
Was Kort on your list for that eye? Who do you think will be dying? What do you think of the promo for "Swan Song" on NCIS?

"Wouldn't it be interesting if Director Vance turned out to be the team member who is killed at the end of the season, only to be replaced by "EJ" as the new NCIS Director. — That's my guess!"
